From 7 May 2024, for the next five months, the carriages of a Metro A train will be transformed into a travelling art gallery with Mind The Earth, a site-specific installation created by Yourban 2030, in collaboration with ATAC and media partner HF4 communication.
The aim of the project is to make works accessible to all that can raise awareness of the great theme of climate change, sustainability policies and the objectives of Agenda 2030.
Entering the metro, the passenger is greeted by a surreal world of images: Nicola Bertellotti’s abandoned landscapes, Giacomo Costa’s post-atomic ones, Michele Guido’s botanical macro-worlds, Matteo Basilè’s minke whales in the quarries, Angelo Cricchi’s poor creatures, Wu Yung Sen’s little animals of the abysses, Agostino Iacurci‘s fabulous plants, and Shinya Masuda’s gastronomic tarot cards.
The exhibition is accompanied by a QR Code that allows visitors to listen to the album by the award-winning Italian composer Marco Del Bene, thus giving rise to a moment of collective sharing, transforming the journey of tourists and Romans into an unprecedented ‘augmented’ visit of images and sounds, in which to encounter art, music and discover with them the call for help of our oceans.
